Basic Agent
The Text Summary Agent is an AI tool that summarizes text in two stages: extraction of key points, then synthesis into a summary. It supports paragraph (default), bullet points, and structured formats, with summaries typically 10–30% of the original length. It handles articles, conversations, documents, code with explanations, mixed content, and any language.
The agent uses a 1-mode-2-actor architecture: an Extractor Actor identifies main themes, facts, arguments, and conclusions; a Synthesizer Actor formats the output. It handles edge cases like empty/short text, very long text (>10,000 words), non-text input, URL-heavy content, and multiple documents. Error handling includes automatic retries (up to 2 attempts) and timeout notifications (10 cycles or 5 minutes).
Technically, it's implemented as a JSON-LD file following the AALang standard, using isolated state for processing data and shared state for actor communication via natural language messages. Limitations include text-only input, a 50-word minimum, and potential format adaptation for very short texts.

}Multi-Agent System
The Starship Simulation Agent is an AI tool that runs a real-time narrative simulation where the user plays an Ensign on the USS Adventurous, rotating through five departments (Engineering, Science, Communications, Security, Navigation) via event-based assignments. It supports department-specific decision-making with varied outcomes (positive, negative, mixed, neutral), away missions with risk-based consequences, and persistent state across sessions.
The agent uses a 5-mode-multi-actor architecture: five department actors handle department operations, a StateManager Actor maintains persistent game state, a NarrativeEvent Actor generates varied scenarios, an AwayMission Actor coordinates away missions, plus Captain, ShipSystems, Funeral, and SessionEnd actors.
It handles edge cases including user death on Security away missions (triggers funeral and session reset), state corruption (4-step recovery process), simultaneous state updates (first-write-wins conflict resolution), and missing/corrupted state files (graceful initialization). Error handling includes automatic state recovery, conflict resolution with retry logic, and corruption detection with field-level recovery.
Technically, it's implemented as a JSON-LD file following the AALang standard, using isolated state for department-specific data and shared state for actor communication via natural language messages with context-window native semantic filtering. Limitations include no combat mechanics, fan-fiction constraints (original names and concepts to avoid copyright), specific Star Trek timeframe (after TOS, before TNG), and Security away missions as the only death risk scenario.
Below is an example from the game of how agents communicate with each other and the user. This is built by GAB, not by hand.
